About Sietse

Sietse is a curious and forward-thinking AI engineer focused on unlocking the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in the maritime industry. He holds an MSc in Marine Technology from TU Delft, where he worked on air lubrication research at the University of California, Berkeley, and took on an extracurricular role as hull designer for the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team. These experiences deepened his expertise in ship hydromechanics and sparked a strong interest in applying AI to enhance ship design. He began his master thesis at Feadship, using modern AI to improve resistance predictions, and joined the company in 2025, where he now drives innovation in custom AI solutions across multiple engineering disciplines in early-stage yacht design.
